Angel - Senior Product Designer
Angel is a streaming company that is unique to other streaming platforms. While it is a streaming service. the content that is acquired or films that are made are all voted on by the members (subscribers) themselves, via that Guild. Premium members get additional benefits than just streaming so conversions.
Increase memberships... improve watch experience
From 250,000 - 1.5M Memberships in 18 months
Using my e-commerce background to increase conversions.
One of the main focuses of web is to get people to sign up and retain them. Without revealing actual numbers, the work I engaged has helped increased memberships substantially. At the same time I was able to introduce product features such as sharing, pay it forward, revamp the core watch experience across the site, and continually improving the user experience.

The problem
Onboarding
One of our challenges was onboarding and teaching users about some of the extra benefits and activities that a user can take part in. Below is a test where we showed users what voting for a film was in a simplified way that helped them understand it a bit more. This increased engagement with that feature.
